I have produced several short and feature length documentaries in diverse places, usually to highlight stories of resilience and strength. I have also made multi-screen video displays, which attempt to expand beyond a single screen and allow even more visual metaphors to emerge. I like to explore the world using film as a medium and I am interested in continuing to push its boundaries.

This is an aerial meditation on seeing the earth’s surface as a canvas that has changed over time and can change again. It is about seeing directly what happened, is happening and possibly could happen to large areas of the earth’s surface. The artist, under no restriction, explores new futures in each case.

This is a multimedia work that depicts the many species that make up a food forest in rapid succession. Within 1 minute the viewer is introduced to a new way of seeing what a forest has the potential to produce. It points to a future where forests and humans nourish one another. This is shown along with an extensive plant list that is layered to mimic the forest structure.

This is also a visual reminder that how we cultivate our food and think about farming needs transformation in order for us to survive in a rapidly warming world.

This manual will outline survival and adaptation techniques for a rapidly warming world. Some ideas highlighted are ironic and some are useful, many of them are both. It will be a living project and as the impact of climate change becomes more and more evident this manual will adapt alongside it. Hopefully, it will help our children survive in the world we are now creating.

This work is a botanical act of rebellion in which I research the most resilient native plants that grow in a bioregion and then source seeds of these plants. As I meander around the towns and cities of this bioregion, I look for opportunities; cracks in the sidewalk, a forgotten mound of grass, a brick wall, or an abandoned building. I then microwild like crazy. Because, why not?

This work looks at the edges. The meeting places. Where the land meets water, which is the most biologically productive meeting place on earth. It is a visual meditation on this meeting place. This is the first step in understanding this special interface to invite further understanding and information.
