Desert Chronicles Vol. 1
The Desert Chronicles is a comprehensive research project and storytelling system that traces the edges of desertification around the globe. It is also an exploration of alternative narratives for dry-land ecosystems. It was designed as a dialogue between the dry lands and the desert in the making.
Each chapter explores a different region undergoing desertification & explores alternative futures. I designed bold, unconventional, and emotive approaches to connect readers to an urgent global phenomenon.
To support the call for action embedded in this work, I developed concepts for new media and immersive exhibition applications that could engage policymakers, academics, and land owners in the conversation.
